Proformance Motorsport IFS IRS Truck Off Road Racing

Custom Designed Differentials allow for extra long axles and more wheel travel than any other Off Road Vehicle to date. The CV Joints actually sit up inside the Diff Housing, providing much longer axles ad more wheel travel.

IRS IFS RACE TRUCK AUSTRALIA

Proformance Manufacture a range of Independent Suspension Diffs for IFS, IRS, Rock Crawling, Military and Off Road Racing applications. Shown below is a 10" (250mm) Ring gear with Internal CV Joints. Running the CV joints inside the Diff Housing allow longer axles and more wheel travel.

NARROW IRS IFS DIFF DIFFERENTIAL

The race vehicle floor is 650mm above the ground plane when at full height, providing the ultimate in ground clearance and wheel travel.

LONG TRAVEL IRS IFS CHASSIS

Proformance Motorsport use Sway-A-Way Race Runner coil over race shocks with externally adjustable compression and rebound settings, providing the ultimate in suspension performance.

4WD Trophy Truck Racing Off Road IFS

3.0" Swayaway Racerunner Bypass shocks provide a dramatic increase in compression damping as the wheel travel increases. The rates of damping for both compression and rebound are adjustable via the "quick set" valves.

Adjustable Damping is provided by Swayaway Racerunner Race Shocks shown above. Swayaway shocks are Nickel Plated and the shafts are NItrided which makes them around 10 times harder than traditional chrome plated shafts

With over 24" (600mm) front wheel travel and 33" (840mm) of rear wheel travel, this truck will fly over the toughest terrain we can find.

Swayaway shocks were chosen due to their exceptional Nickel Plated Finish, Super Hard Nitrided Steel Shafts and shortest "eye to eye" length.

INDEPENDENT SUSPENSION LONG TRAVEL NARROW DIFFERENTIAL

 

As you can see, we make Big Trucks. These toys are 2300mm wide and very powerful. They sit very low and the Double A Arm Suspension provides exceptional cornering and handling compared to other designs.




A rear mounted (Yes Rear Mounted) 350 Cubic Inch Chev NASCAR small block will redline at over 8000RPM pushing this awesome truck through rough terrain at top speed of over 230kmh. Rear mounting the engine provides the greatest stability and traction in the roughest of terrain.

Proformance Motorsport Racing Engines
The Holinger 6 Speed Sequential Shift Transmission fitted to our race truck is the same as used in BOTH Ford and Holden V8 Supercars in Australia.

Proformance manufactured a transfer case with Three (3) sets of quick change gears. Gear sets can be changed in under 30 minutes. To fit the hand made transfer case to the the Six Speed Holinger transmission, Proformance manufactured a Billet Aluminium adapter plate as shown below.

A custom engineered Proformance transfer case reverses the output of the engine drive and provide a an adjustable final drive reduction.

The gearbox houses two gears that can be changed in under 30 minutes. A total of 6 gears provide three separate final drive ratios and therefore three top speeds - 140kmh, 180kmh and 240kmh.

Fully Floating Brake Rotors provide exceptional stopping power and ensure that pad knock off is reduced when travelling over rough terrain.


IRS IFS Brakes - Trophy Truck Brake Rotor Caliper

Proformance Outer Hubs use exceptionally large bearings, allowing the CV joints to sit inside the wheel carrier, again providing longer axles and more wheel travel. This truck has 33" of rear wheel travel and is only 2300m wide. That is more wheel travel than any other Independent Suspension Off Road race truck in the world.

With the body panels removed our Race Truck looks very much like a buggy. A CAD CAM designed tubular space frame. A CAD CAM designed tubular space frame chassis has been manufactured instead of using the chassis of a production four wheel drive. This is first professionally built space frame off road race truck in Australia.

Needle Rollers are fitted to EVERY pivot point for increased reliability and long life. The needle roller bearings run on ground, hard chromed pivot bushes.
